Dr. Jadah Petty

My Approach

I’m a licensed clinical psychologist with years of experience working with individuals from various backgrounds. I have extensive training in evidence-based treatments, which I believe offer a wonderful framework for therapy. While the treatments provide the framework, your individual characteristics are what drive how we use those treatments in each session. I always strive for a collaborative relationship, so that every person feels like they have an important voice in their progress. Being flexible and adapting to your needs, allows the therapeutic process to feel genuine. I work to bring a compassionate, nonjudgmental stance to each person, while creating a space that will allow for new perspectives and meaningful change.

An important aspect of my approach is recognizing and incorporating your culture and social identities into therapy. I am dedicated to promoting inclusivity and equity and hope to provide space for people whose voices haven’t always been heard. In whatever way feels most comfortable for you, we’ll bring aspects of your cultural identities into the therapy process to better understand how you’re affected by your experiences.

I’ll act as the guide to help you on your journey toward wellness. Whether you’re wanting therapy for a specific problem, such as depression or anxiety, or you’re wanting to better understand your unique challenges, I’m here to help you progress towards your goals and will work with you to find a path that suits your needs.
